Jared Leto refused to shake people's hands at the 'Dallas Buyers Club' U.K. premiere.
The 42-year-old actor imposed a strict ban on handshakes during his trip to London and issued journalists with a warning that he had been ill before the event held at the Curzon cinema on Wednesday.
A representative said: ''He's not being rude, but if you put your hand out he won't shake it. It's not that he's worried about catching anything - he's just been ill and doesn't want to spread his germs.''
The 'Requiem For A Dream' actor has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as HIV-positive transgender character Rayon in the drama, which also stars Matthew McConaughey.
However, the handsome star seemed didn't seem too enthusiastic about chatting about the film at the premiere.
Asked the most challenging thing he had done for the role, he said: ''This press line.''
And the 30 Seconds To Mars singer was also unhappy to see a reporter using their phone as they waited to talk to him.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he quipped: ''Are you texting? Who are you texting? Jeez Louise. That's like texting and driving. I was going to use the opportunity to storm off and end this early, but I was too tired to act.''
This isn't the first time Jared has refused to shake people's hands and has been known to offer up his elbow instead.
